Briony Redman began her career during the 2010s, working not only as a comedian, but also as a writer and an actor for various short films. Amongst the latter was 2017's Smear, which she co-scripted with Kate Herron. The same year, Redman won her first role on the small screen, appearing in the telefilm Snowflakes. She and Herron would maintain their writing partnership, contributing a story to the 2022 comic book anthology Skybound Presents Afterschool. More recently, they have collaborated on an episode of Doctor Who featuring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, which will be broadcast in 2024.
