When the BBC brokered a deal to co-produce the 2011 season of the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood with the Starz network in the United States, many of the writers that were consequently employed had an extensive pedigree on American television. An exception was Ryan Scott, for whom End Of The Road -- a collaboration with industry veteran Jane Espenson -- would mark his first broadcast credit. He also wrote Submission, a Torchwood radio play transmitted the same year on BBC Radio Four. Scott went on to script an episode of Revenge, and he was both a writer and a story editor on Graceland. Soon thereafter he began working in both writing and production roles, on the likes of Fear The Walking Dead and Servant.
