Vivian Oparah was born in Camden, London. Shortly after completing a two-week course with the National Youth Theatre, she was cast as Tanya Adeola, one of the young protagonists of the 2016 Doctor Who spin-off Class. After a recurring role in The Rebel during 2017, 2018 saw Oparah make her movie debut in Teen Spirit with Elle Fanning. The same year, she returned to Tanya for a series of Class audio dramas from Big Finish Productions, although Joanna McGibbon would later take over the part as a result of Oparah's limited availability. During the Twenties, Oparah could be seen in shows like Enterprice and Intelligence, and she starred in the romantic comedy Rye Lane. She also sidelined as a musician and disc jockey.
